ECHO – FOREST is an organisation dedicated to foster contextual understanding of the Biblical message and holistic spirituality of sustainability, unity, justice and peace.  Rooted in the teaching of Jesus Christ, ECHO – FOREST aims to create ab open space for learning and growing and equipping together grounded on the biblical principles.

Homiletics, the art of preaching, studies both the composition and the delivery of religious discourses. It includes all forms of preaching, including sermons, homilies and catechetical instruction.

A sermon that focuses on explaining the meaning of a Bible passage, verse-by-verse. The preacher breaks the text into smaller pieces to help the congregation understand the author's intended message. 

  • Honest. God-honoring teachers will be honest with the text
  • Secure. If we don't have a sense of security of who we are in Jesus and in the power of God's Word, we will never please God with our work as a preacher or teacher

The purpose of a sermon is to reveal the mysteries of God to the bride of Christ at a specific point in time. The purpose of a devotional time is to spur individual growth over time. There is overlap between them, no doubt. But the sermon is more acute in power, while the devotional is more longitudinal in power.

Eco-spirituality is a way of thinking that connects the natural world to faith and spirituality, and encourages people to care for the environment

God's Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works
